So its 2023, how much has changed since 1973? We thought that as it was 50 years since the playing field was set up, we should celebrate. So we had a 1973 (or 70's) theme party.

People came along from 5pm, some in 1970's fancy dress, and had some food (pork baps + trimmings + dessert) and a complimentary drink and stayed on to enjoy some music and drinks.

The auction of promises from 8pm and raffle raised funds for improvements to the Playing Field and Pavilion.

The Trustees continue to be thankful to the many villagers and visitors who came out on a very special evening. The sun shone all day (which undoubtedly helped!) and with good food and drinks and company, the event was very well organised and also spontaneous evening.

A degree of entertainment from the 'Village Idiots' went down particlarly well I thought - helped enormously by Wendy Groves' guidance!
